She sat alone on her bed
Thinking about what she had just said
She said it right but she knew it was wrong
She didn't know it would take this long

She never meant to feel heartbreak
She wants to take away this thing she hates
She cried herself to sleep last night
She tried to stop with all her might

She kept waking up but she had barely slept
She cuddled up to his jacket which she had kept
Her alarm went off with a loud ring
She hurriedly dried the tears she had been crying

The day ahead of her was long enough
She won't cry all day but it'll be tough
Her eyes water every five minutes
She knows she's suffering but she has to get through this

She thought it was over and that she didn't love you
She believed this to be true but she never knew
These feelings were real and after all of this
She never guessed that might be their last kiss

Her stomach hurts and her heart aches
These feelings inside she cannot fake
Her mind is tired and her body is sore
She doesn't think she can take much more

It hasn't even been a full day
She notices this much to her dismay
She wants to cry out and say a plea
She wants to know how to end this misery

She doesn't want to lose him after all this time
She feels like she's about to lose her mind
That's just a better way to say she's going insane
She's shooting for control but she just can't aim

She thinks about him every waking moment
She sees his hand and longs to hold it
She wants to say she's sorry so badly right now
But at this moment she doesn't know how

The only way she knows how to get through heartbreak
Is to build up some kind of hatred she knows is fake
The only problem is he is who she could never hate
She wants to solve this before it's too late.
